SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

Location: 101, 1800 Fir Street, Vancouver BC

Type: Full-Time Position

At Stephanie Brown Inc., we create world-class, bespoke interiors for extraordinary homes across North America. From oceanfront estates to landmark city residences, our work blends architectural integrity, refined luxury, and an unwavering dedication to our clients’ vision.

We are looking for a Senior Designer who thrives on depth, nuance, and discovery—someone who understands that exceptional design begins long before the first sketch. You will immerse yourself in the architecture, context, and story of each project, uncovering the subtle details that shape our design narrative.

Who You Are

You are not just a designer—you are a connector, an interpreter, and a strategist. You are energized by complexity, but you bring order to it. You lean in when faced with ambiguity, methodically breaking it down into clear, actionable paths forward.

Your natural curiosity drives you to ask better questions and seek deeper understanding, but your discipline ensures nothing gets lost along the way. You are as comfortable building systems and frameworks as you are developing creative concepts.

You are:

  • Thorough and rigorous — you see both the big picture and the smallest detail, and you understand how each decision impacts the whole.

  • Highly organized and process-driven — you work methodically, think linearly, and excel at managing complex information, timelines, and deliverables.

  • A strategic decoder of information — able to synthesize large volumes of input, connect patterns, identify gaps, and flag inconsistencies before they become issues.

  • Disciplined with time and priorities — you plan ahead, manage your workload proactively, and keep projects moving efficiently without sacrificing quality.

  • Intuitive and perceptive — you read between the lines and sense what isn’t being said, both creatively and interpersonally.

  • Empathetic and articulate — you build trust with clients, consultants, and colleagues through clear, thoughtful communication.

  • Persistent and patient — you understand that exceptional design requires iteration, refinement, and care.

  • Deeply focused on client experience — you are attentive, responsive, and committed to delivering the elevated, seamless experience our clients expect.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and contribute to high-calibre residential design projects from concept to completion, ensuring both creative excellence and operational precision.

  • Establish and maintain clear project structures, workflows, schedules, and documentation to support complex, multi-phase projects.

  • Deeply engage with clients, architects, and collaborators to uncover the unique DNA of each project and translate it into thoughtful, executable design solutions.

  • Synthesize research, site analysis, budgets, and client insights into cohesive design narratives and well-resolved concepts.

  • Develop and present design concepts with clarity and confidence, articulating both the creative vision and the rationale behind key decisions.

  • Coordinate closely with the internal design team to ensure alignment, accountability, and exceptional execution at every stage.

  • Manage details rigorously—drawings, specifications, schedules, and correspondence—ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Anticipate challenges early and navigate them with a balance of creativity, diplomacy, and structured problem-solving.

  • Uphold and reinforce Stephanie Brown Inc.’s design standards, processes, and level of excellence across all work.

What We Offer:

  • The opportunity to design luxury interiors of international calibre from our creative headquarters in Vancouver.

  • A role that will challenge and inspire you, surrounded by a team deeply committed to design excellence.

  • Projects spanning North America, with the chance to work alongside renowned architects and craftspeople.

  • A supportive, collaborative culture that values curiosity, insight, and mastery.

  • Unique opportunities for professional growth, team building, and industry special events.

  • A competitive full-time salary, with an ample benefits package, paid parking and mileage (where applicable), in the Armoury District design hub of Vancouver.

Compensation for this role will be commensurate with the candidate’s education, skills, and years of relevant experience. The anticipated annual salary range is $80,000–$110,000 CAD.

If you are ready to bring your skill, intuition, and passion for design to a place where great work is the standard, we’d love to hear from you.
